GYLA is a seven-day leadership program for high school students
(14 through 18 years of age). Students will participate in a variety of educational programs focusing on global and cultural awareness, leadership development, communication and inter-personal growth.
Our programs include all materials, books, lodging, meals, and transportation during the program (does not include arrival and departure from the Academy). They include all speakers, excursions, outings and events during the Academies as well as our staff chaperones.

Interested students must complete the online application, including a recommendation from a teacher, employer, coach or school counselor.
Students can apply for the 2021 Global Youth Leadership Academy by clicking the APPLY NOW button below. Your application will be processed and reviewed. You will be notified via email to set up a phone interview with a GYLA staff member. You are welcome to have a parent join you on that interview call.
You will be contacted within 5 days after the interview if you have been accepted to the program. Students who have been accepted will receive a welcome packet of additional information and forms to complete along with a deposit form. Your spot is not reserved until we receive your $1,000 deposit and completed FORMS PACKET.
If you are registering for our second year program, select Y2 on the application page. You will experience all that GYLA has to offer in regular programming, plus added perks and bonus training.

If you have a classmate or friend you would like to have join you on our trip, have them fill out an application as well. You will receive $100 off your Program fee for every accepted applicant you recommend to GYLA. All participants must go through our application process.
You are responsible for your travel to and from GYLA.
Once the 2021 program reaches capacity of 40 students, GYLA will keep a waiting list for students who would still like to participate should a spot become available. We will contact all students on the waiting list by June 15 if there is available space.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
A deposit of $1,000 must be paid within 1 week of being accepted into GYLA.
Please return completed forms with your deposit to hold your place in the program.
Final payments must be made by May 15, 2021
